Community
Lincoln and the Diane Richard Team believe that community involvement is both a pleasure and a responsibility. The team places emphasis on efforts that impact families, children, and Joliet Township where their office is located.
Joliet Community Festival
In 2013 Richard proposed that the Township add music and a bone marrow drive to the annual Joliet Harvest Festival, and the Joliet Community Festival was born. The ever-expanding event now features live music, kids rides and games, food trucks, a beer garden, and a spectacular fireworks display. The team partners with Joliet Township and Joliet Junior College to host this fun and impactful celebration. Over the years the bone marrow drive has added hundreds of names to the National Bone Marrow Registry: visit the DKMS site to learn about becoming a donor.

Children & Education
When it comes to personal involvement and giving their time, Diane and Richard separately gravitated toward a common theme.
- Diane serves as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Joliet Public Schools District 86.
- Richard is a Project Manager for the Joliet Park District and oversees its capital projects.
- Diane is an Advisor to the Joliet Township High School Scholarship Fund.
- Richard is an Educational Consultant for Joliet Junior College.
- Diane serves as an Event Organizer for the Will County Special Olympics.
Joliet Recreation Association
Richard serves as a Project Manager for the Joliet Recreation Association (KRA). For over 50 years this all-volunteer organization has provided affordable programs in soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and field hockey. Nearly 4,000 young athletes ranging from pre-K to high school participate in KRA programs. Richard believes, and statistics support, that participation in youth sports can provide critical developmental benefits for children.
The Diane Richard Team are sponsors of Gregg-Clarke Park, headquarters of the KRA and a beautiful community sports park that Richard helps to manage.
First Responders
Richard and Diane recognize the unique challenges faced by firefighters, police, EMTs, emergency room nurses and other first responders as they plan to step away from a career of service. The team provides free financial planning services to local first responders, and Richard has given presentations on the subject of retirement to organizations including the Orlando Police Department, and the Missouri Crisis Intervention Team.
